How to Add Healthy Whipped Cream to Your Coffee for the Holidays
by Lauren Magenta
The holidays are a super legitimate excuse to be 1) overly festive and 2) overly indulgent, and we're entirely here for both of these things. But, sometimes the overly indulgent side of the equation can leave you feeling less than stellar about yourself at the end of what can feel like a 2-month long December. However, there are, in fact, plenty of ways you can still be indulgent without feeling totally horrible about yourself, and what better way to make both of those dreams come true than with coffee? For all those out there looking to make their morning cup a little more festive and a lot more indulgent this season—without compromising their health goals, look no further than this healthy whipped cream. Ingredients:
Your cup of coffee
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
(Optional) cocoa powder or ground cinnamon
Directions: Simply whip the cream with the vanilla extract until peaks form in the mixture, and add it to your cup of coffee. Top it with cinnamon or cocoa powder for a little extra something, and rest assured knowing you're indulging without really indulging. The whole thing takes less than five minutes to make, and it's an insanely easy way to holiday-fy and spruce up your morning cup. If you're looking to really go for it with the holiday coffee indulgence and you're less concerned about nutrition right now, check out these coffee holiday upgrades, and have at it. While it's definitely possible to treat yourself during the holidays without really indulging, we encourage everyone to celebrate how they see fit (as long as it still involves coffee ;) ), and if that means turning your morning cup into a coffee milkshake, then we're behind you. It's December — you deserve to make everything festive, and that includes your cup of coffee too.
