Hawaiian Kona Coffee
When you think of coffee you don't necessarily think about volcanoes...Kona coffee is grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soil on the big island of Hawaii. The climate to which these coffee trees grow helps them to bloom after the dry winters and then they are harvested in autumn. Day in and day out the trees are provided with afternoon showers and shade making the local climate ideal for growth. The weather is a huge plus for Kona Coffee and is the reason it is such a high quality blend not to mention the most expensive coffee -- in the world.
Not only is this coffee known for its rich flavor but is thought to be full and buttery on the palate. We are proud of our Hawaiian Kona Blend and have learned so much about the bean since we started. This blend is extra special to us as we sit here in NYC dreaming of an afternoon spent in Hawaii on the Kona Coffee Belt. Until now we have only had the Hawaiian Kona Blend available in compatible pods for Keurig, but coming soon it will be available capsules for Nespresso drinkers too. We also pride ourselves on the fact that our coffee is roasted just before shipping so it is fresh and extra delicious as it arrives at your front door -- enjoy!
