From Costa Rica to Ethiopia: HiLine Coffee’s Origins
The coffee you just made in your kitchen may have first grown halfway around the world, perhaps in the country where coffee was first discovered and tasted. At HiLine Coffee, we source premium coffee beans from countries throughout Central American, South America and Africa, and blend them into our unique flavors. According to the National Coffee Association, coffee trees produce their best beans when grown at high altitudes in a tropical climate with rich soil. These conditions are found around the world in locations close to the Equator. Our blends contain arabica beans from Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Guatemala and countries throughout Africa, including Kenya and Ethiopia. The delicious taste of our Lungo Dark comes from Brazil, the top producer of coffee worldwide. We also use coffee beans from Ethiopia; legend has it that coffee was first discovered, roasted, and brewed in this East African nation in the 1400s before it spread to the rest of the world. Even if you haven’t had the chance to visit these tropical destinations, we hope enjoying a cup of HiLine Coffee will transport you there in spirit.
