Every day, in one single coffee capsule, a new place to taste

As you enjoy every drop of this much-needed espresso out of your Nespresso machine, feel the strength of its flavor, the richness of its aroma… Before dropping easily in your mug, the story of this espresso started far away from home. In a different country, very likely another continent. Maybe on the edge of a Colombian road if you have chosen a single origin powerful Arabica, in the shade of one of India’s Karalla valleys if you were in for a strong Monsoon coffee or somewhere in Guatemala if you are a connoisseur looking for almost chocolaty flavors. Coffee origins are many and sometimes located in unexpected places. Did you know Vietnam is the second coffee producer in the world? You will find growing locations, mostly south of the equator, where the climate is warm but rainy enough. On the glossy dark green leaves of small coffee trees (although they can climb up to 15 to 30 ft. tall if not trimmed), white flower bloom are soon turned into small berries. In six to eleven months, depending on the varieties, such berries will turn from green to yellow to cherry-red when perfectly ripped. Inside each berry are one to two seeds: the precious coffee beans. Each region will provide your espresso with a different flavor, aroma and acidity. Its character will depend on the tree, original soil and if it was cultivated in the shade of a forest or with limited protection from the sun. Even more crucial is the time the coffee beans will have spent drying lazily in the sun. Once dried, still green coffee beans are ready to be handed to expert roasters. Their work will be to bring out the personality of each origin, so you can have every day, in one single coffee capsule, a new place to taste.
